Amanda A. Frossard
Amanda joined the faculty at UGA as an assistant professor in Chemistry in Fall 2017. She received a BS in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2008, where she worked as an undergraduate researcher with Allen Goldstein. Amanda completed her PhD in 2014 at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at UC San Diego. There she worked with Lynn Russell studying the organic composition of marine aerosol particles. Amanda worked with Ronald Cohen at UC Berkeley as a postdoctoral scholar in Chemistry, where she built an aerosol optical trap to measure particle hygroscopic growth. Email.
Work in the Frossard Lab at UGA is focused on understanding the composition and properties of surfactants in atmospheric aerosol particles and how these surfactants influence the hygroscopic properties of aerosol particles.

Rachel Bramblett
Rachel received her BS in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina in 2018 and joined the group in Fall 2018. She is measuring the hygroscopic properties of aerosol particles and the composition and surface tension of surfactants in seawater. Email.

Ariana Deegan
Ariana (Ana) received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Georgia in 2021. She joined the group as a PhD student in Fall 2021, after working as an undergraduate researcher. She is characterizing the volatility and surface tension of surface-active organics and surfactants in sea spray and biomass burning aerosol particles. Email.
Amber Birt
Amber received her BS in Chemistry from Union College in 2022 and joined the group in Fall 2022. She is interested in measuring the composition of surfactants in marine aerosol particles and seawater using liquid chromatography and high resolution mass spectrometry. Email.
Daniel Ammer
Daniel (Dan) received his BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 2017 and joined the group in Fall 2022. He is working on determining the composition and properties of surfactants in the sea surface microlayer and seawater. Email.
Abigail Hobbs
Abigail (Abby) received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Georgia in 2023. She joined the group in Fall 2023 as a graduate student and is currently working on measuring particle hygroscopicity using the aerosol optical trap. Email.

Mara Shields
Mara received her BS in Chemistry from Otterbein University in 2023 and joined the group in Fall 2023. She is interested in studying surfactant effects on the hygroscopicity of aerosols using the Humidified Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer. Email.
